1 work of removal of ship generated wastages Deputy Conservator, Kandla Port Trust, invites applications from those parties who are desirous of carrying out the work of removal of ship generated wastages viz. sludge, oily waste, dirty ballast, scrap, dry garbage, etc. from vessels calling at Kandla Port. The parties intending to submit the applications may download the application form along with the terms and conditions from the website of KPT www.kandlaport.gov.in. However, the parties can also have a copy of the application form and terms and conditions from the Cash Section, Kandla Port Trust, Administrative Office Building, Post Box No.50, Gandhidham (Kutch), on any working day, on payment of application fee of Rs.500/- either by cash or Demand Draft in favour of Financial Adviser & Chief Accounts Officer, Kandla Port Trust, Gandhidham. The parties who download the relevant documents from the website of KPT and submit the applications shall have to pay the application fee of Rs.500/- along with the application at the time of submission of the same. The applications will be received in the office of the Dy.Conservator, Kandla Port Trust, Administrative Office Building, Post Box No.50, Gandhidham (Kutch), upto 1600 hours on 8th March, 2010. 3 Public Notice - Restricting entry in Kandla Waters This is to notify for the information of all concerned that crafts including Fishing Boats plying in Kandla- waters without valid Harbour Craft Licence shall be totally banned on completion of 30 days period from the date of publication of this Notice. If any craft is found plying in the Kandla water unauthorizedly, legal action under Indian Ports Act 1908 be taken against the concerned at their sole risk, cost and consequence. This has been decided to combat security threat to the Vessels calling at the Port. Deputy Conservator, Kandla Port Trust.
4 Public Notice-Public Grievance Redressal It is for information of the general public that a Public Grievance Redressal Mechanism is in operation in the Port for redressing the public grievances related to Port functioning, services offered, land matters etc. For prompt redressal of genuine grievances, detailed particulars should be submitted to the concerned Heads of Department as shown below on any working day or put in the Public Grievance Box kept at the main entrance to the A.O. 5 Transfer / Mortgage Fees In order to provide better services to Lessees, Kandla Port Trust has tied-up with UTI Bank Ltd., Gandhidham for collecting Transfer/Mortgage Fee in respect of the plots allotted by Kandla Port Trust and SRC Ltd., in Kandla and Gandhidham-Adipur Township. Henceforth, on receipt of the Demand Letter from the KPT, the Lessees will have to remit the Transfer/Mortgage Fee directly in UTI Bank Ltd., Gandhidham. The UTI Bank will in-turn forward the Challan-cum-Money Receipt to KPT and on receipt of the same, necessary Transfer/Mortgage Permission Letter will be issued by KPT. In view of the above arrangement, the Lessees need not visit the Office of KPT for remittance of the Transfer/Mortgage Fee in respect of such Demand Letters issued on or after 30.06.2005. However, in respect of the Transfer/Mortgage Demand Letters issued prior to 30.06.2005, the Lessees will have to visit the Township Section of KPT for getting endorsement on such Demand Letters for remittance of the charges in UTI Bank Ltd., Gandhidham. This arrangement of direct remittance of the charges in UTI Bank Ltd., Gandhidham has been made for better convenience of the Lessees and also to avoid visiting the KPT Office for payment of Transfer/Mortgage Fee.
