Vigilance Department looks for opportunity in every activity undertaken.Accordingly, the following measures have been recommended towards system improvement.

    Engagement of Daily Rated Workers – biometric system and maintenance of complete records in respect of Workers.

    Nodal Officer for processing disciplinary cases and assisting Disciplinary Authorities – already implemented

    Preparation of panel of retired Officers as I.O.
  •  
    Implementation of File Tracking System.
  •  
    Fixing responsibility on custodian of documents
  •  
    Demarcation of lands of the port.
  •  
    Display of Notice Boards as per CVC Circulars.
  •  
    Display of Signage Board for DPT Property.
  •  
    Running of Pharmacy for supply of medicines.
  •  
    Preparation of Manual by all Departments – Vigilance Manual will be released during Vigilance Awareness Week 2013. Being closely followed up with other Departments for the respective Manual.

    Adoption of Integrity Pact – IEM has been nominated by CVC.
  •  
    Follow up action initiated on HBA defaulters.
  •  
    Review of outstanding Damage charges undertaken .
  •  
    Identification of problem area and recommended system improvement.
  •  
    Circular issued for Vigilance clearance on 18.03.2013.
  •  
    Streamlining the procedure for referring cases to Vigilance Department internally.
  •  
    Shortcomings observed are communicated through internal Circulars and the same are posted in the Vigilance Portal.
  •  
    Curtailing repeated levels in the process – avoiding piecemeal queries – recommended change in policy.

    Levering Technology- E-payment, E-Procurement, posting in website.

    Delay is submission of Vigilance Clearance papers in superannuation / retirement cases - reg. (Size: 105 KB)
